Swell Form Graphics Machine

The Swell Form Graphics Machine (commonly called the Swell Form machine or “fuser”) provides a fast, simple, and cost-effective way to produce high-quality tactile maps, diagrams, text, and graphics. Using specially formulated Swell Touch paper, you can print your images as you normally would with a standard printer or copier — we recommend a laser printer or copier for the finest line detail.

Once your image is on the Swell Touch paper (also called swell paper, capsule paper, microcapsule paper, or flexi paper), simply run it through the Swell Form machine. The heat reacts exclusively with the black ink, causing it to swell and produce a raised, tactile image, while colored areas remain flat. Instead of printing, you can also draw directly on the paper with the Swell Touch marker — the result is the same: the black ink puffs up to create a tactile graphic.

This machine is designed for ease of use and consistent results. With auto start and stop functionality, there is no waiting or warm-up time — it’s ready to use as soon as it’s turned on. Both the machine and Swell Touch paper are safe, user-friendly, and non-hazardous. Swell Touch paper can also be used with other tactile image enhancers for even more versatility.
