The Basic-D V4 is the latest success story from Index Braille. The Basic-D is the most sold Braille embosser in the world and now with the improvements of the V4 platform, it’s popularity will grow even further. The new Basic-D V4 is a complete re-design based on customer feedback, in addition to the experiences learned during production of the previous versions. The Basic-D V4’s design combines speed and quality in a double sided Braille printer that uses continuous tractor feed paper. The combination of low price, high speed, excellent quality, ease of use, and small size make this embosser a good choice for homes, schools, workplace, and Braille production centers. It is blind and sighted user-friendly with a Braille and text keypad and speech output. The Basic-D V4 is able to produce graphics as well as regular Braille text with good durability and great Braille quality. Simply place a box of our paper into the machine and it will emboss without interruption – until it’s time to load more paper! What’s new with the Basic-D V4 Braille embosser: •  a sideways printing mode is now implemented, making it possible to emboss in landscape mode •   the characters per line were increased to 48, account for all paper sizes and formats •   updated paper sensors to allow for smoother, trouble-free embossing •   improved internal design to help simplify maintenance •   new cooling design to keep the embosser at an appropriate temperature •   complete re-design of the tractor assembly which allows for smooth paper feeding •   less weight •   external power supply
